Daily Diving

There are 76 recognised diving sites within day boat distance of Sharm El Sheikh. A good collection of these are to be found within a few short minutes of travel from the Four Seasons hotel. The Red Sea is recognized as one of the leading diving destinations of the world and visitors to Sinai Blues can enjoy, reef systems, coral gardens, wall diving, drift diving, night diving, wreck diving or just pottering around the shallows on the local sites. Water temperatures rarely drop below 22c but rise to 30c in the hot summer months where marine life comes into its own.
Nearest is the area of Tiran with perhaps the greatest variety of sites. Between Tiran Island and the Sinai coast are four reefs offering some great drift and mooring dives. Further South is the Ras Mohammed National Park, which is home to a number of dramatic and famous dive sites such as Shark and Jolanda Reefs, The SS Dunraven Ship Wreck and Ras Goslani. Nearer to the hotel are many sites offering 100ft visibility, a vast coral garden, hundreds of species of fish and favourable environmental conditions for all divers.
Night diving is also easy and interesting at Sinai Blues with plenty of ‘night life’ on the house reef and at nearby dive sites by boat. Even with the torch turned off you can still see for over 10m under a full moon. On most nights you can witness the bio-luminescence where the tiny particles of disturbed plankton glow like magic green wizard’s dust! Aside from what you see on a night dive is the tranquility of diving in a 3-d medium of dark calm. Any initial feelings of apprehension are soon replaced by the excitement of being under the sea during…night time; an experience not to be missed.
At Sinai Blues we do everything for you. If your meeting time is 9am then that’s when you turn up. You’ll find your freshly rinsed wet-suit, laid out; dry as a bone across the back of your chair at the briefing table along with one of our computers (unless you have your own). Your diving equipment will already have been listed and it will have been prepared with a new tank and packed on the RIB along with your correct weights and tank size. (Choose between 8, 10, 12, 15 litre or nitrox).
All you do is listen to the briefing, grab your mask, fins and boots and step into the boat for a trip out to sea. We assist you with kitting up and also in helping you out of the water afterwards. You’ll be offered a clean dry towel and a bottle of mineral water for the way back. No need to worry about, disassembling, rinsing or packing your kit, we do that too and hose it down with fresh water before the next day. Of course, some divers want to assemble their own gear and they are more than welcomed to do so. In any event, it is only trained scuba diving instructors who assemble guest or student equipment.
